Bethany Knupp | 9 comments I read The Orphan Collector which is set during the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918/1919. Very interesting compared to our current pandemic.

Laurie | 20 comments I read Band of Sisters. It's set in WWI. A group of women from Smith College go to France in 1917 and help villagers near the front line.

Michelle Youll | 15 comments I read The Orphan Collector set during the Spanish Flu. I loved this book! It took a little while to get into it and was very sad to read at times, but the back half of the book and the ending are amazing! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good historical fiction book.

Andy (pleasereadittome) | 55 comments I read "To Paradise" by Hanya Yanagihara. It spans 200 hundred years starting in 1893. While not traditional historical fiction - it is more speculative fiction - it is really well done.
