Kiki dropped through the ceiling and landed in a crouch.
There was no one here.
This was so weird.
She felt for the hilt of a throwing knife she kept hidden, ready to take any enemy.
But there was no one.
Okay. New plan.
She turned and started slinking down the hallway, almost wishing some enemy would appear so she could just get on with the fight already.
She'd already been stuck here for two days.
She was about to start eating rocks.
Rations didn't cut it.
"Let's get on with it already!" she yelled.
No one answered.
She huffed, her face a stoney mask.
How she wanted to strangle something right about now.

Jade looked up the towering wall of the Castle.
*Oh boy...this is going to take forever* He thought. After watching the guards shift for a few weeks, he knew he only had a few minutes before his chance was gone. He started climbing as quick as he could. His foot slipped on a stone and he almost fell, but he caught himself. When the guards came, he was well 15 feet above them.
He scaled the rest the wall in a matter of minutes, with ease.

Kiki stared out the window.
There was a man.
Scaling the wall.
Goody. Entertainment.
She was either going to make allies with him or kill him faster than he could blink.
Either was completely acceptable.
But he did look like a fighter.
Maybe I ought to just kill him now.
Nah.
She would wait.
Just so she could see the shock on his face when he was bested by her.

Jade climbed over the wall, and looked around

Erihpeti rolled through a trap door. She stood up, her bow ready and looked around. "What the heck happened? I was just hanging out with Legolas and Gimli....." she muttered to herself. "And this isn't Hogwarts either."

Kiki sensed eyes on her and spun around, her hands at the ready to forcibly strangle whoever it was into submission.
There was no one.
But Kiki had seen a flicker of movement around the corner.
They know what they're doing.
Kiki's guard went up and she drew a knife, clutched in an experienced hand.
She crept forward, then sprang around the corner to face a girl. A girl that clearly knew how to fight.
"Explain your intentions. You have twenty seconds before I kill you," Kiki snapped.
She pointedly ignored the picture of the raven in her head prompting her to give the stranger a chance.
Giving strangers chances was the same as giving strangers the opportunity to kill you.

Jade wandered around, keeping his dagger out.

"I appreciate that you wanna kill me, but there are, like, thousands of people and creatures and whatever other monsters that would also like to do that and I also have some unfinished business with someone that I'd really rather just like to finish.. So... And I'm also looking for someone- that I would prefer not kill me," the girl snapped as she transformed into some sort of cat-like creature.
Kiki's heart nearly choked her.
She's a Guardian.
Kiki lowered her knife slowly. The cat thing was about the weirdest Guardian she'd ever met, but she knew the code.
Weird or no, Guardians never killed Guardians It was their one weakness, in Kiki's opinion.
She stood straight, still on guard, ready to defend herself.
"Who is your mentor?" she asked cautiously.
((Sorry about that... Kiki assumes all shapeshifters are Guardians like herself.))

Refel wandered down the hallway, looking for an exit.
Actually, he was primarily looking for trouble, but if trouble led to an exit, that would just be an added bonus.
He absently fingered the hilt of his sword.
he could just shred those tapestries, but that would be destroying something pretty for no reason except to satisfy his boredom.
Where was Kiki?
She would appreciate his boredom.
Actually, no.
She'd probably cuff him over the ear and tell him to act his age.
Which was still young enough for trouble.
Or so Rayn seemed to think.
He rolled his eyes.
Then he heard voices.
Kiki's voice, and another's voice.
He took off at a run and sped around the corner in time to see a cat Guardian in front of Kiki, who looked like she'd been about to attack.
"Kiki! What's going on?" Refel yelled.

"I- er- what- what's going on here? I don't understand. I don't.. I don't have a mentor. I don't have a clue about what you're talking about. Sorry."
Kiki felt her eyes widen even as Refel burst in behind her.
"You're an outlier. Guardians who rebelled from the cause, aren't you?" she whispered dangerously, her hand going towards her knife again.
Refel appeared beside her, his silvery hair even more wild than it usually was.
"Outlier," she whispered.
He nodded, tensing.

Jade heard voices, and followed them.
"By all the...." There was a cat like human and a girl.

Kiki glanced over the Guardian outlier to spot the fighter who'd scaled the wall earlier.
She sighed.
"Deal with him," she said quietly to Refel.
Her friend smirked.

Jade kept his guard up, but was very confused.

Refel walked towards the man, nearly laughing at the confusion on his face.
"What are you doing here?" he called, devoid of smart remarks until the man said something.

"I'll ask you the same. What do you want?"

"I'll ask you the same. What do you want?" the man snapped back.
Refel raised an eyebrow and his hand went to his sword.
"Your allegiance or your soul would be acceptable," Refel said.
By the murderous look in the man's eyes, he got the idea that this was one of those times Kiki had referred to - the ones where he was supposed to be serious...

Jade snorted, rolling his eyes.
"Allegiance? I was under the Emperor for too long, I'm my own man now. I pledge to know one. Now answer my question before I come over there and gut you."

Yep. Definitely one of those times. Refel thought.
But being serious was far too much work.
"I like you. You'd make a good Guardian. And actually, I want nothing from you except your name."
Ew.
"And maybe your soul."
That's better.

Kiki almost felt bad for the man that Refel was accosting. Almost.
The outlier Guardian twitched.
“What, are they ruthless, merciless killers or something? Who the heck are these people?”
Then she seemed to startle that she'd said that out loud.
She leapt up the wall and scrambled to the top.
Kiki sighed.
Make my life harder, traitor.
"Ruthless, merciless killer isn't the right way to put it," she snapped. "I'd say more like ruthless, merciless protector. Meaning that you are about to die."
Is she so stupid to not realize that outliers die?

Jade didn't like this 'soul' talk.
"Names...." He thought a moment. "Tyler. What's yours."

"Tyler. What's yours?"
Refel snorted. "Wolf-boy."
Kiki threw something at him.
He sighed.
"What? He gave me a fake name!"
"Yeah? You're not a wolf. Quit stealing my shift."
Refel huffed.
"Well, you clearly don't respect me, but I'm Refel. Actually."

"Hmph. I'm Jade." He stared at Refel, still wary.

"I think it might be the other way around.." The outlier snarled. She grabbed a torch holder and swung onto it, pointing the end of her musical instrument at Kiki.
"Just leave me alone or you might as well forget it.." she hissed.
"And stop calling me an outlier! I have no clue what in the world you're talking about!" she screamed. Kiki thought she saw mania on the edges of the cat Guardian's vision.
Not an outlier. A guilter.
Kiki lowered her knife, gritting her teeth. She wanted nothing more than to kill the girl, but whatever heart she had left demanded she didn't.
"Fine then, Guilter. I don't know what it's like to be crazy, but I hope it doesn't get you killed."
She could tell by the enraged expression on the cat guilter's face that she'd probably just said the wrong thing.
Great. She was developing Refel's horrible sense of timing.

"Hmph. I'm Jade," the man growled.
He eyed Refel, clearly wary.
"Well um..." Refel murmured, fingering his sword for lack of something better to do. "How'd you get here?"
Talking without sarcasm was painfully hard to do.
Gosh, Kiki. How rude.

"Fell from the sky like everyone." Jade rolled his eyes. "I scaled the wall."

Ashalena looked around and moved quickly, no one knew she was here. Yet she was very far from her kingdom...Maybe Balthazar had something to do with this?

Maybe he did...But her mind was too all over the place to figure out what really was going on. She had to stay focused.

A black haired woman with purple eyes appeared suddenly, Ashalena backed away gasping "what the--"

"I'm a fairy, mortal, this should not be of problem to you...May I ask where I am?" she asked, glancing around.

"I...don't know." stuttered Ashalena.

(Question, I don't know where everyone's characters are, but I am trying to introduce Ashalena and Vonivera into this. Any ideas? :) )

(Alright, that's a good idea :)).

Ashalena sighed, "well anyway, maybe we should try and figure out where we are..." she groaned, she did not particularly like this fairy who seemed to have tagged along with her.

But maybe she wasn't all that bad. Vonivera walked along the corner with Ashalena until, they realized...something was wrong, they didn't know what, but something was really wrong...

"Princess Ashalena" replied Ashalena quickly and looked over at Vonivera, '"this is--"
"Vonivera" replied Vonivera hotly. "I would have preferred to not leave my realm and appear here-- But I guess dimension travel sometimes does that to a person."

Kiki spun around at the approach of two more strangers. They looked... different. Unaffected by the herbs.
That's when it slowly began to dawn on her...
What if these people were... were, like, from a different world or something? What if they weren't affected by the poison?
What if the Guilter... wasn't... actually... a Guilter at all? Was she also from a different world?
Kiki glanced back up at the cat, still ready to fight the two new-comers. Yes... she was definitely crazy. But she also didn't have an aura.
She wasn't affected.
She wasn't from Reshinal.
What?
Kiki sighed. This was exhausting.
"Who are you?" the cat snapped from her perch on the wall.
"Princess Ashalena," the one with the long silvery hair said. "This is-"
But the dark-haired one cut her off. "Vonivera. I would have preferred to not leave my realm and appear here - but I guess dimension travel sometimes does that to a person."
Kiki huffed.
She really really really didn't like Vonivera. If she'd been back in the slave city, she just would have strangled her without a second thought.
But as a Guardian... She couldn't afford to become an Outlier. She couldn't, she couldn't, she couldn't.
What would Rayn think if she did that?
She sighed. How she hated arrogant people. Vonivera was about the most arrogant she'd ever seen. But she wasn't going to say anything. Terrifying silence was far better.
She just glared. Intensely. And once Vonivera flinched the tiniest amount, she turned away with a hand on the hilt of her dagger, nodding ever-so-slightly to the cat. She wouldn't hurt her. She wouldn't be nice to her, but she wouldn't hurt her.

"Fell from the sky like everyone." Jade said with an eyeroll. "I scaled the wall."
Refel smirked. He really like this guy.
"Well, I did fall from the sky. Except it was the ceiling."
Jade was about to say something when two newcomers rounded the corner.
They introduced themselves as Ashalena and Vonivera.
Refel could tell Kiki hated Vonivera.
He didn't particularly love her himself.
He chuckled under his breath and yelled, "You fall through a portal, purple-eyes?"

"Um...No I dimension traveled. There's difference there." said Vonivera, "Do you happen to know where we are?" looking at the newcomer, trying to decide whether to trust her or not.

Ashalena looked around, "Are you from this land or are you as lost as us?" asked Ashalena, trying not to give off the fact that she was mildly scared and that she did not trust these people.

"Um... No I dimension traveled. There's a difference there," Vonivera snapped. "Do you happen to know where we are?"
Refel snorted. "Yes, purple-eyes, I know that. I just didn't know if you did. As for where we are... nope. I have no clue. But... I just fell through the ceiling back there and had this epic landing and literally no one was there to see it."
Ashalena had said something. Refel looked at her.
He sighed.
"Yep. We're just as lost as you."

Kiki glanced at her and snorted. "Mad is far from it, otherworlder," she said under her breath.

The cat smiled.
Kiki sneered back.
Wow. She was proud.
What was it with all the arrogant people today?
So what if Kiki walked around liked she owned her own space? Why did everyone have a problem with it???

"Please stop calling me 'purple eyes' my name is Vonivera." she replied, glancing over at Ashalena, who seemed very overwhelmed and unsure of what to do.
"And besides, if we're both lost we should both be looking for a way to get out, not insulting each other...."

Vonivera responded "Believe me, insults are fine especially in gossip-- Which I do engage in, I am not ashamed to say-- but if I don't know any of you, it feels strange to go on insulting you..." she looked over at Ashalena, "don't you have anything to say?"

Ashalena shook her head, she probably shouldn't have revealed she was a princess. If only she had used one of her aliases, somehow, though she probably didn't have the time to change into the disguise or hide her hair.

Kiki sighed.
People were so exhausting.
But yes, hurling insults really wasn't helping.
"Refel," she hissed.
Refel looked at her.
"Knock it off."
Refel sighed.
"Fiiiiinnnneee," he snarled, turning back to Vonivera. "But I'm still calling you purple-eyes."
Kiki buried her head in her hands.

Vonivera glared, "fine, then I'll come up with a nickname for you..." she paused for a moment and then said, "how about dumb blonde? Yes that is what I will call you."

Ashalena tried to attract the least amount of attention as she looked around, trying to find a way out. And trying to figure out...where they were exactly.

"Do you happen know anyone by the name of Balthazar?" she asked suddenly, "I...I was wondering, because, I don't know I've never been to his kingdom. But I would guess it was his. Are you shapeshifter hunters by chance?"

((BAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA))

Vonivera glared daggers at Refel. "Fine, then I'll come up with a nickname for you..." she paused, trying to look deep in though "How about dumb blonde? Yes that is what I will call you."
Refel looked extremely affronted.
Kiki burst into laughter.
Ooooh, how he deserved it.
She would deal with him later.
"Do you happen know anyone by the name of Balthazar?" Ashilena asked. "I...I was wondering, because, I don't know I've never been to his kingdom. But I would guess it was his. Are you shapeshifter hunters by chance?"
Kiki had a good feeling there was a great deal more beneath the surface, but she also decided she was going to abandon her silence. Against all odds, she actually liked Ashalena. She had sense.
"I'm... not sure. I've never heard of him. But I'm also pretty sure I'm from a different world than you. You've never heard of Nish Herbs, have you?"

Ashalena shook her head, "no I have not." she looked around, well, they weren't shapeshifter hunts she could not decide whether that was good or bad. It was probably for the best, as she did not want to talk to allies of Balthazar.

"Anyway dumb blonde." continued Vonivera, "do you happen to know anything about this realm, given that you seem to have been in it longer than I have."
