but i still like it

watching the sunrise over the bay,
and everything is magically okay.
watching you smile at the ocean,
the tide bringing my heart back into sea.
watching my emotions cause a commotion,
our heart’s filled with glee.

it was like a scene from a movie,
where every moment was perfect.
but then i opened my eyes,
and it was all fantasized.

i'm back in my bed,
trying to clear my head.
back in my room,
imagining us together is making me swoon.
back in my mind,
trying so hard to find,
what is real and what's a lie.

kisses in the rain,
that take away the pain.
kisses along my lips,
your hands grazing my hips.
your fingers meet my thigh,
sending my heart into a thundering high.
you pull away,
and i just want you to stay.
you lean down,
and whisper in my ear,
"that was a twelve, my dear."

it was like a scene from a book,
where everything was so kind.
but then i opened my eyes,
and it was all in my mind.

i'm back in my bed,
trying to clear my head.
