~~KRISTINE’S 2022 12+4 CHALLENGE~~
I've only read The Education of an Idealist. I think Samantha Power is a fascinating individual. I hope you enjoy. Good luck with all of your selections

John, thanks so much. I have heard a lot of good feedback about My Tender Land and luckily just got a copy on sale.

Lea, thanks very much. Hope you guys like Homecoming. I put it on the list because I keep meaning to read it and now think I will. Same with The Man in Moscow. I have had it to read for 4 years. Decided on The Great Gatsby and also the new book The Chosen and the Beautiful since it’s a take on that book. See how I like it. Enjoy your year and Happy Reading

Ann, thanks for the recommendation for The Man in Moscow. I too, purchased The Beekeeper of Aleppo on sale. My room and house and car are full of books ‘On Sale’ that I had to have. Think that is a good thing until I have to organize them all. LOL. Enjoy your reading in 2022.

Bill, thanks and glad you liked Samantha Power’s book. I really think I will like it.

Kristine, I'm exactly the same, having books that I have been meaning to read for years. Fingers crossed that we all enjoy Homegoing. I didn't realize that The Chosen and the Beautiful is a take on The Great Gatsby - I love that you are reading both this year. I love to read classics and remakes of classic books too.
Have you decided what you will try to read first?

Martha, thanks so much. Yes, I think I may have read The Great Gatsby, but not sure or was sleeping in class. I decided to try it along with The Chosen and the Beautiful. See what I think. Enjoy reading your books

Joanna, thanks for letting me know you liked them. I’ll have to look over your list, too. Enjoy your books

Lea, I think I am going to read The Paper Palace since I just got this book or The Push since I have it from my Library on Libby. Let me know when you finish Homecoming and how you liked it.

Alondra, thanks. Appreciate all the work you are doing on this group.

Both The Paper Palace and The Push sound really good, I'll be eager to see what you think.
We should definitely compare notes on Homegoing, I'm not sure when we will get to it, but I hope we will finish it this year. There are so many books I want to tackle this year.

Vicki, thanks so much for your feedback. Hope I like them, too. Check in when I r ad them. Just started The Paper Palace, seems good, but doubt I’ll finish this month. Try to read some other in February. Really like this group, glad you are part of it. 😊

Alissa, it is a complex book about family. I really loved it, but to let you know there are many incidents or rape and sexual abuse. It is not a light read, but I found it a compelling one.

I want to try and get in

Wish me luck.
Kudos on your progress already, and Good luck with the upcoming reads.

Alondra, thanks so much. Don’t feel bad, my Dad gave me A Gentleman in Moscow 5 years ago.

Ioana, Thanks, need the encouragement. Good it’s raining 🌧 today, perfect day to read a book.

Thanks ☺️ so much. That is an Excellent Idea, Focusing a Month Just for This. I have 2 books left for Motley Challenge and then have several other open Challenges, but might try August, too. Good Luck to you.

everyone I know loved it- I tried reading it several times, but it never really got me hooked.

Beth, Thanks ☺️ I know, life + I join too many book challenges. I love them, but hard to get all the books in. Then I always have Early Releases and want to read those.
So, keep going. You will get there. We have lots of time! 😌

Alondra, I understand that feeling. Usually, get a message like that when I am trying to finish up 4 books~LOL.

Bonnie, I know with A Gentleman in Moscow. Something keeps making me put in down, well for 5 years. 😞

I put it on my TBR 2 years ago. So, think I am up to date: Read 10 of 16, but want to read sooner and finish Motley Crew Challenge. Both Fun and I finally get my great books Read.

Alondra, it’s a great book, emotional and hard parts, but exceptional.

This is my review if anyone is interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Alondra~Thanks so much 🌷I will read all 16, so have 5, but that I will finish. Picked so many books I’ve liked so far. I have 1 more book for the Motley Challenge, so doing well on this site. Think did 500+ page Tome, too. Of course, I joined many other challenges and also get NetGalley books. Too many, but usually have fun with them. I especially like this site. Enjoy your summer 📚

September Goals: Pick 2 More. Also: Reminder~Finish

Then up to Date for Spooky 😱 October Challenge. Fun, haven’t read my thrillers in a While.
