In March we will be reading Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John le Carré for our Crime category - who's in?

Christopher (Donut) | 271 comments I'm in.
Now that I've told you, I may have to kill you.

Phrodrick slowed his growing backlog | 187 comments I may lurk in the shadows.
I have read this and the trilogy at least 2*, listened to it on tape, and seen both the the video versions, Gary Oldman was better'n I expected, but Sir Alec Guinness was born for the role.

If you can get it, Conversations With John le Carré is a fun way to get to know the late David Cornwell (AKA John Le Carre').
Also if you can get any of his books on disk , read by the author, your in for a treat.
Other'n that, Never heard of em or it.
And that is my story n I'm stickin to it, ya can't make me talk!

Penelope | 79 comments It’s been a long time since I read this one and will look forward to a reread.

Dennis Fischman (dfischman) | 198 comments I reread this not very long ago, but I will follow your reactions avidly.

Pamela (bibliohound) | 148 comments I’ve just finished this, I loved it. There was plenty of tension, even though le Carré uses quite straightforward language - the ‘stealing’ of the files springs to mind. I loved the shabby, rundown London of the 70s, and the complicated plot that all fell into place just before the end. And Smiley is a wonderful character.
