What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

She leave to get groceries with her father and gets separated. She meets a guy that she eventually falls in love with. They also meet other survivors, one who had a lot of tattoos and was mute.

I rented it from the library when I was in middle school about the years ago. I’ve tried looking at my library history and talking to the librarians but haven’t found anything.

I think I remember the cover being orangish colored.

Also random details: the girl’s grandmother made Bavarian cream. And they kept her dead grandfather in the freezer in the bunker. I believe it was a series but I only read the first book.

How long ago?
