PtP - Don't Know Much About BTS (10)

2. Lead Rapper - reserve a couple of posts in this thread tracking your team's book selection and completion. (Alternatively they could convert a chat comment to the tracking post/s.)
3. Name your team. Using this round's theme of BTS, come up with a fun name. Given we are an open/public group with no age limit, so please make sure any chosen name is smart, not smutty ;)
Please PM your name to Jane(PS) by 31 March.
4. If you have a private profile, please 'friend' your team-mates. This is really important, because without this, your team-mates can't see your shelves to select a books under option 2. (It will also help with one of the categories in this round!)
5. Please post your book selections/completions in the format provided below. (This format is also posted in both the Q&A and Sign-Up threads.) We need to know the week that each book corresponds to, the page numbers, and how the book qualifies including links to lists/shelves (where applicable), etc. I can't stress this enough. When in doubt - link it*!
* don't link to your review in your completion post - reviews in your completion posts should be included in full in that post.
You don't want to start reading a book and then find it doesn't meet the requirements because some information (eg page count or theme link) was missing from your original post.
I will be monitoring this and your book will not be considered complete until I am satisfied that your selection and completion posts comply with the format rules of the challenge.
Remember - you can ONLY change your book selection in the week that the theme is called.
6. You MUST check in with your team each week, ideally once the theme is announced. Please let your team know if you expect to have spotty communication or are on holidays or having an operation, etc.
7. When you post the completion of your book, you must post a review; enough for us to know you have actually read the book. Please don't link to a review. You must post the review in this thread.
8. Re-reads are allowed but you can't read the same book twice within this challenge.
9. There is no prize for the winning team - bragging rights only :)
10. Each week, the theme will be announced in the Q&A/Announcement thread. The full list of themes announced during this round will be maintained in msg 1 of that thread.
The Rule on the Pass Option
* Each team can only have ONE member using their pass each week.
* Each member can only use that pass once each 5 weeks.
* This means that one or two team members (dependent upon the size of your team) will miss using a pass in each 5 week block.
* No-one can use the pass option in the last week of the challenge.
* In the final week Option 2 has altered and I will be allocating each team another team from which their book selection must be chosen :)

For selection post Option 1 you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
How the book qualifies - please note which qualifying bookshelf/list you are using or the tags that justifies that it works.
If the theme is based off the bookcover, post the cover. If there is a letter count in the title, publication date etc, please note these details.
For selection post Option 2 you must have:

For selection post Option 3 you must have:
Week #

For the completion post you must have:

Review
Please DO NOT CHAT in these selction/completion posts. It needs to be super clear.
If you 'waffle' about your decided book - please REPOST your selection once you decide. DO NOT go back and edit your waffling post.
IF YOU NEED TO CORRECT A POST FOR MISSING INFORMATION or because the didn't qualify etc, please REPOST this inforamtion in a NEW post. I don't want to have to keep going backwards in the thread.

Don't Know Much About K-pop or
Don't Know Much About BTS (Fits the rhythm of the song better)
klueless about K-pop

I'm an audiobook addict - I listen to them while I knit or spin. I have 5 library accounts (plus Audible & libro.fm) to feed my addiction.

Heather, I had to laugh when I read your post...I could have written it practically word for word about me, except substituting NW Washington state for Michigan and that I listen while doing pretty much everything rather than knit or spin. 😁 I've done some knitting over the years, but know absolutely nothing about spinning...I'm intrigued!
I read almost exclusively romance...once in a while something else catches my eye, but it's rare. Under the romance umbrella though, I'll read just about anything - I generally avoid inspirational and most YA (unless it's something recommended by someone whose tastes I know match mine pretty closely), but other than that I'll read all sub-genres and heat levels. I also make a point of reading a variety every month (contemporary, historical, paranormal, both MF and MM, etc.) but I probably read more RS than anything else overall. My read shelf is pretty eclectic though, so hopefully it will be helpful if any of you need to use it for Option 2.
I'm really bad at names in the best of circumstances, and since I don't often listen to music anymore (to busy listening to books!) and know next to nothing about K-pop, I'm probably going to be less help that usual. If anyone has any ideas, please share them, even if you don't like them. Sometimes a 'bad' name can spark a thought in someone else that will lead to something great!

Im also a huge audiobook fan i usually listen while scrapbook or bullet journaling, still need to physically read a few chapters before nodding off... But Nothing beats Multitasking with two kids!!!!
Im finding new tastes over the years but everything usually has an element of romance to it so hopefully you like my shelves!!!! A bit clutterd LOL
Names Im also not great at Names the only thing about Kpop i Know is there was a group of Kpop trolls in the movie other than that Nada x

I don't know a single thing about K Pop. I think I've heard snippets of the Butter song and I'm pretty sure that the fans of BTS are called the BTS Army so all I have is Buttered Biscuits or Romance Army of (however many there are on the team).
As I mentioned in my sign-up post, I am leaving for a trip on April 1 and should be home the 10th/11th. I will have internet but I'm pretty sure I will only have access through the app so I will have to edit my posts later to add links. I also probably will not do any completion posts until I'm back home but I will read the books. Of course, if I do get to sit an actual computer, I will add links and reviews and all that.
I read pretty much romance, fantasy and young adult and usually I need a romantic aspect to my books. Looking forward to playing with you!

@Stacie - I definitely speed up my audiobooks! I generally listen to them at between 1.85x and 2.35x, depending on the narrator. But I also need to be doing something else at the same time with my hands. That keeps me from getting distracted. In addition to knitting and spinning, I also have an Etsy shop (for knitters, of course) and listening to audiobooks makes the crafting for it more enjoyable.

I read a lot so I'm hoping my shelf will be helpful for anyone wanting to use Option 2.

Hi Team!
Apologies for the delay... it was Bridgerton weekend so.... yeah... I didn't do much else this weekend :) (side note... I LOVED it)
My name is Sarah and I'm from Toronto, Canada. I am an avid reader of lots of genres but romance is of course my favorite (contemporary, historical, romantic suspense....). I also adore audiobooks and listen to them mostly while driving to work or while crafting (either knitting or cross stitch).
I apologise but I am rubbish at names... and I know nothing about BTS. I have to admit I love Don't Know Much About K-Pop

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed Bridgerton. I haven't started it yet... but need to SOON.

Let's hope that's the extent of your plot twist!!! 🤞🤞🙂

I'm glad to hear the delay is nothing serious, Stacie!
I really need to sign up for Netflix again. I had it several years ago and never watched it, so cancelled. Now there's a bunch of stuff on there that I want to see!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of...and actually, Don't Know Much About BTS fits the rhythm of the song better...

I'm Bel and I'm from Sweden! I'm a university student in Stockholm, and I would say I almost only read Romance without depth I just want everything to be cute and have a nice ending. I especially love YA or new adult.
I don't know any K-pop the only band I know of is one direction lol

Stacie wrote: "I did some tiny research on BTS and they have a song called Permission to Dance. We could be Permission to Read. They have another one called Let Me Know so Let Me Read?"
Oh, Permission to Read sounds great too!
