if you want something more creepy, pet sematary and misery were also really good. :)
do you like mr mercedes so far? if you do, you should read billy summers & the institute by king. the institute is also one of my favorites.



Neither of these is so much on the horror side of things, and I actually prefer his more "non-horror" books but if you are more into the that then I must agree that Salems Lot is your best bet!


Of course I have to echo many people's sentiment regarding Mr. King's, "The Stand" (a true seminal work and a very "easy" read!) But please allow me to suggest a (somewhat) "early" work entitled, "Different Seasons". The novellas in this book ("The Body", Shawshank Redemption" et al.) "should" be somewhat familiar (as they have been adapted for film etc.) These are true "beauties"!

Misery is also an incredible book.
