So I'm trying to see if I can find this on audio and I have a clarifying question. Audible has quite a few books from Peloquin but not one called Assassin. They have one called Darkblade Assassin. Is that the same book?

Yes that is it! I need to reflect that for everyone on the title of this thread. :) Sorry for the confusion. :)

No, I don't think it's the same. He has one called Assassin and another called Darkblade Assassin. They are both in different series. It's a trick. ;)

So let me see if I can help clarify something. The series called Darkblade Assassin (Hero of Darkness #1) has been "revamped" and "updated" to a new series which is this one that we will be reading and it is Assassin (Darkblade #1). So there is no audible as far as I am aware for this revamped series.

Sounds good Ian. I think the older version is the same storyline but the new series has more extra content.

I love assassin stories, def one of my favorite topics for books that is.

Zert! I may follow suit with Ian instead and audio the old version. Decisions, decisions.

Ian and I are audio buddies. While y'all are collecting bookmarks, we're collecting ear buds. I destroy ear buds/headphones. I listen to podcasts all day at work and audiobooks all evening. It's the only way to do it.

I laugh because I audio books/podcasts at 2.5 times speed. Anything slower is like listening to drunk people. But I read slower than anybody you've ever met.

I am trying to figure what you consider "slow". Give us an example - how long would it take to read a 300 page book?

Oh wow for audiobook anything past 1.5 speed is fast for me.

Well it's not so much that I read slow, though I'm not a fast reader by any means, but that I 'squirrel!' every 5 minutes. I just have to be moving or doing things with my hands. Audiobooks let me get out the jitters while sticking to the story.

When we go on road trips my husband has to listen to everything at 1 speed and it drives me insane. Ha ha!

Great. Thank you! I went to buy The Odds for the Horror section buddy read and rolled up on this one. Some would say I have a bit of a problem with buying new books.

Yes! I got my copy last week. Beautiful cover with that satisfying suede feel to it. Not sure what it's called, but I dig it.

I started the book this morning - finished chapter one - lots of action right away. You all are going to love it! :)
