What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Fiction drama where the main character struggles with mental health issues/eating disorders. She is in a heterosexual relationship for a lot of the book but at one point hooks up with a woman whose names starts with a D (dotty, dori?). The woman loves her fish tanks and after sleeping with her, the main character drains them and leaves. At one point the main character eats an entire undercooked roast. The cover that I read looked like a painting of blues and whites. I read this book sometime between 2005 and 2009.

I recall her having a boyfriend in the book and they may have lived in a van/RV
