Reviewed by Cade Morris

Siddhartha is the tale of a man who seeks enlightenment. The story takes place in India at the time of the Buddha, around 625 BC. Siddhartha, a young Brahman leaves the comfort of his home behind to wander.

Siddhartha is a fun, intellectual book that travels alongside this boy who journeys through towns, traverses’ forests, crosses rivers and more. The story resides with Siddhartha throughout his adult life, and really dives into the meaning of life, purpose, and the difference between knowledge and wisdom. “Wisdom cannot be imparted. Wisdom that a wise man attempts to impart always sounds like foolishness to someone else ... Knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom.”

Taylor Norton | 5 comments At first glance it seems like a book I wouldn't necessarily be into, but after reading your review I'm wanting to know more about the difference of knowledge and wisdom. What is Siddhartha like? Is he kind hearted or evil, gentle or rough, Friendly or closed off?
Thank you.

Marrisa | 7 comments This book has caught my attention, and I would love to read it to have a full understanding of his journey and discoveries. I am most curios of what I will learn in this book. What I would like to know is, what was your biggest takeaway and what has this book provided you with? was there something in here that you apply or relate to in every day life?

its such an interesting book, Siddhartha is very peaceful and mellow on the outside especially when talking to others, but his inner thoughts and monologue are loud, crazy, and all over the place.

yes! I would say my biggest takeaway is that anyone can say their going to do something, but actually doing it is the thing that matters. for example Siddhartha said "Not in his speech, not in his thoughts, I see his greatness, only in his actions, in his life."
