The Seasonal Reading Challenge discussion

This thread is for "marking" a book genre. It is not for assigning genres - only for locking in genres that currently appear on the book's main page.

The verifications in this thread apply only to the Summer 2022 challenge - they do not carry over to future challenges and genre verifications from the past challenges do not carry forward - verifications are only applicable to the current challenge.

A book need only be verified once in the thread - then it can be used by any participant in the Summer 2022 challenge.

Please do not post task-specific questions here ("is this cover green enough?") and other such questions.

If you are planning to use a book for a genre task and fear that the genre may disappear, post a link to the book in this thread. We will not "lock in" the lack of a childrens or kids genre on the main page.

When you post your book, if the genres have changed, just link to the post in this thread in which it was verified and you'll be good to go.

Because of the volume of verification requests in this thread, I will not be trying to compile any sort of master lists. If the book you are using does not have the required genre at the time of posting, but has been verified in this thread, please link to the post in which it was verified in your completed task posting. If the book you are posting still has the genre on the main page, there is no need to refer to any posts here or in other help threads - if it's there on the main page, you're all set.

Please verify Red Sky Over Hawaii for MPG World War II.
As this is my first seasonal challenge, perhaps as World War II is listed in book as MPG, I do not have to ask to have it verified.

WWII is listed as a genre, so you're good to go!
If it were not listed, I would not be able to verify it. The reason people do get genres verified is because genres can change and this protects you in case the genre drops off the main page before you read the book and post it.

Both of these books list "War" as a MPG, but doesn't specify WWII. The book descriptions make it clear that it is WWII. Can you please verify WWII as a MPG? I'd like to use one of them for Task 30.7 Thanks!

I just wanted to verify that The Lazy Genius Way: Embrace What Matters, Ditch What Doesn't, and Get Stuff Done is by a single author. There are two authors listed, but the second one only wrote the foreword, not the book. I tried to verify in the help thread, but no one responded. :)

this is not a genre verification question. Task creators have 5 days to respond to questions. You could also take a look at the Rules of the Challenge, which addresses the status of "authors" who only write a forward.
