Ellen | 3511 comments Denver Moore and Ron Hall could not have been more different. Denver had grown up in rural Louisiana picking cotton for the Man, living as a sharecropper which was tantamount to being a slave. Ron Hall was a self-made millionaire who specialized in selling valuable art pieces. One woman brought the two men together for a friendship that would last: Deborah Hall, Ron's wife. Deborah felt the need to help the homeless population of Fort Worth, Texas, which she did by volunteering at a local mission. When she first spied Denver, a homeless, frightening man, she knew she needed to foster friendship between Denver and her husband. Her vigilance paid off when the two men became close and especially so once Deborah became terminally ill with cancer. Her devout faith helped the three of them through a tragic ordeal.

I enjoyed the story of the Halls and Denver. It was quite a bit more religious than I had thought it would be but it was heartfelt and inspirational.
