A Monster Calls question

I read this about 10 years ago and distinctly remember Connor breaking both of Harry’s arms. But more recently I looked at it in the library and he only breaks one. Was this my imagination? Maybe it was taken out in later editions for being too violent, but if so I think that’s unnecessary. The book is about a boy’s mother dying of cancer and if kids are mature enough to handle a theme like that they should be able to handle a couple broken bones. Besides, Harry was such a nasty bully.
