Chapter 1 - 8!


(view spoiler)[I don't know how Nova's secret is still safe. Every clue points in her direction and they have almost all the clues!

But I'm glad Adrian finally knows that Nightmare didn't attack Max. At least there is a possibility of them working together after they find out each other's secrets.

Who is the secret blackmailer? Is it Magpie? Or is it Narcissa? Narcissa could have sneaked in Nova's appartment through mirror with her abilities. And also taken the helmet from Honey's rooms in the tunnel because there was a mirror! Narcissa also probably blames Nova for Gene Cronin's death since he was killed to keep her secret. Chapter 9 - 13!


(view spoiler)[I was right about Narcissa but I hadn't thought that things wound turn out this way! How will Nova get out of the prison? Will she be released for lack of evidence? That seems very unlikely. There is a chance that she will find a way and break Ace out of there along with herself. But Adrian took away her bracelet which enhances her power so it will be interesting to see how she gets out! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I know right! It is so frustrating. Not one person is making the connection between various clues and Nova!

Narcissa didn't come to my mind at allll but now that you said it, it seems like the perfect explanation but maybe she isn't working alone and there is a different mastermind behind it all.

As for Nova and Adrian working together, they still don't even know each other's real identities - I hope that the book is not rushed once they find out! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 14 - 18 ; (view spoiler)[So much happened!!! I can't believe Nova is up for execution, I wonder how she will save herself since Adrian clearly is not coming to her rescue. Also, Max and Adrian's bond is just priceless. I hope he succeeds in not letting Council send Max to quarantine again! (hide spoiler)]

I think Adrian will get Max out of there and hide him! The only place that comes to my mind is into the tunnels. I don't know where else he could keep him hidden and safe! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 19 - 29!

(view spoiler)[A lot of things happened. Narcissa really came through and now Nova is free again! I want to see what she will plan on the execution day of Ace.

Adrian really created Phobia. That was a twist I didn't expect! It was there all along but I just didn't connect the dots.

Mystery of Nova's bracelet and the star is finally revealed. And also where these superpowers came from! This is getting interesting.

(view spoiler)[THAT WAS A HUGE PLOT TWIST!! Now I understand why they were focusing so much on that little dragon Turbo still being alive! I think Phobia survives by using his powers!

But I am finding Adrian a bit stupid ngl! He was fooled so easily by Narcissa 😭 Max is great.

The explanation for superpowers was really good! I can’t wait to see how Nova would use her bracelet now that she knows how powerful it is! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 30 - 35!

A lot happened in today's read! Renegades are completely defeated. Ace is back in power but I suspect Nova will have to defeat Ace herself probably with Adrian's help now that she knows his secret. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I want to shake him and make him SEEE!! It's like he's deliberately turning a blind eye to everything but atleast Nova now definitely knows Sentinel's identity! I did not expect renegades to be defeated so badly tbh. Rn i am at neither side, both the Council and the anarchists seem to be motivated by their personal goals rather than doing good for a community as whole. It'd be interesting to see how Adrian now defeats the Anarchists IF he does and what would be Nova's role moving forward! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 36 - 39 : (view spoiler)[I see how it was easy for Ace to manipulate Nova into agreeing to his plans. He keeps using Nova's vulnerability against her and he might just be my most hated character in the whole series! Adrian now has a single Agent N dart and I have the feeling that somehow Nova would be neutralised instead of Ace! I am dreading her telling Ace about her new found power. (hide spoiler)]

Ace turned out to be horrible and my guess was right, I knew there was something fishy about Nova's parents' death. I was actually glad for a moment when I thought everyone would be powerless now but instead everyone got some kind of power..which is acceptable I guess? I am happiest for Max! He'll finally be able to live life outside of quarantine !!!! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 36 - Finish!

(view spoiler)[ You were totally right about Ace. And I am so glad they tied up all the loose ends. How lady Indomitable died, why Renegades couldn't protect Nova's family, the mystery behind the star in Nova's bracelet and even the silver bullet Magpie has.

I was so glad for Max and he really deserved freedom. At one point, I almost thought he was going to die and even that would have been better than the quarantine. But it was even better that he lost his powers!

And I especially liked that Nova never actually used the star. At first, she thought her father made the star for Ace and later she thought he made it for her. But Max was the only one who could use it to save everyone and change everything without violence! Anyone else using the star would have meant a lot more violence. (hide spoiler)]
