leave Airplane mode off and you might try:reboot device (hold power on for a full 40 seconds then wait 15 seconds and turn it back on)
reboot router (unplug it for a minute)
then try again

I had a problem with no internet connection and restarting worked for me.
When I turn on my kindle fire, I always have to manually connect to WiFi or it won't connect . I must have hit a settings somewhere. Any Ideas how to fix this? Thanks!
