5.6 - How Can You Be Here When You're Not Anywhere At all?
Many people don't believe that Oz exists. Let's assume that to be the case. Read a book set at least 50% in a fictitious locale. A fictional setting in a real state/country does NOT work; a fictional country, planet, space system, or fantasy world DOES work. An unnamed setting does not work.
Required: State the setting.
ex. Kingdom of Rabu: Crier's War
Fallen Isles: Before She Ignites
Teixcalaanli :A Desolation Called Peace

Bea Would this book work? A Deadly Education

The setting seems to be a fictional school.

The locale must be fictional- not the institution. Where is the school located?

I found this reference, which seems to put it at a fictional time of wizards and strange beings in Manchester, England. The school is in a world of its own with a graduation gate that leads back to the world. https://naominovik.fandom.com/wiki/Th...#

Cynthia (cynthiabaxter) | 4 comments Hi there - I am reading Black Leopard, Red Wolf and it should fit this task...but wanted to run it by you....

I looked online to see if the setting is named...like "Middle Earth" or something and the best I could find was North and South Kingdoms. The author pulled from African history, but it is not based in Africa - instead, he wanted to create a mythology for Africa much like Tolkien did for England. But North Kingdom and South Kingdom is all I could find - so far...

Let me know if this will work - if not, I have something else

According to https://marlonjameswriter.com
In Black Leopard, Red Wolf, Sogolon the Moon Witch proved a worthy adversary to Tracker as they clashed across a mythical African landscape
That would still be Africa

Teri-K Would The River's Gift work? The setting is a fairy-tale like land, only referred to as Swan Manor. Some people have magic and there are lots of fae creatures around. No reference is made to any other place - we don't know Swan Manor is located in the larger realm.

If it is set in Faerie for 50%+ it would work.

Bad Unicorn
From the book's main page description:
Stuck in another world and with a carnivorous unicorn on his trail, Max must find the courage to save himself, his friends, and, oh yeah...the entire human race.

The "other world" is the Magrus (realm of all things / creatures magical) and the Mesoshire (a sort of half-way place between the Magrus and reality). I've only just started it, so it's hard to say if it will be 50% in the Magrus, but it seems that way from the reviews I've read about the book.

Julia (julia103) | 2719 comments If a book has multiple stories in the same fictional universe but the stories are on different planets, is that ok?

From Every Storm

This is in the Liaden Universe series. I'm not sure where the first story takes place. The second one is on the planet Frenzel (at least I assume that's where it is since the main character in the description is located on Frenzel in one of the Liaden novels). The third story is on the planet Liad.
