I have heard some comments on Amazon about this children's book I've read called Ron's Big Mission and according to one of the reviews on Goodreads that I've read about that deals with the comments on Amazon regarding this book, one commenter on Amazon said "Why should we have children's books and books in general that deal with racism and prejudice when it is a difficult subject to talk about (or something to that nature).

I think that we should not just forget about our history when dealing with racism and prejudice because if we just forgot about how bad racism and prejudice had gotten back then, compared to how it is today, then it is possible that we are liable to repeat the same acts again in current times, if a bit differently than before. I always liked to look back at history and see the many historical figures who helped bring diversity to the world such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln to name a few.

Truth be told, genocide is still a reality. Unfortunately.

I agree about another genocide possibly happening in the near future, which is quite unfortunate seeing how horrible it was during World War II.

Manybooks Forgetting the past, ignoring the past, is a surefire way to repeat the past.

I agree, especially if people don't know how the racism got started in the first place.
