What is FWC Classics 30 years or older (1993 and before)?

📗Takes place during the late eighteenth to the late nineteenth century.
American Civil War, Indian Wars, the Mexican Wars, range wars

📘Characters are Pioneer-Settlers-Natives-Miners-Plains-Old West-Mountains-Wilderness-Vast Landscapes-cowboys, ranchers-homesteaders-gunfighter-sheriffs/rangers, and/or frontiersmen

📕Focus is often given to the harsh, but beautiful landscape

📓Contains characters who show skillfulness, toughness, resilience, and vitality

I've read The Virginian and liked it a lot.

I want to read Butcher's Crossing, even though I was not thrilled by the author's Stoner.

I found the autobiography at Audible read by Grover Gardner. I agree -- he is very good!

Blueberry what if we put it as a suggestion for Historical Fiction? I am not a 100% sure but I think it fits?
A four book series I think would need to be over a two month period as well.

I read The Emigrants a few years ago and liked it. I have the second book Unto a Good Land that I'd like to read. They are definitely Historical Fiction.

Moberg's book is great. It is part of a series. Living myself in Sweden, I read it years ago, when it first came out. There was a great movie too.

I was looking at FWC because of the descriptors pioneers, settlers, resilience, harsh beautiful landscape. But I'm interested wherever it goes. I'm ok reading just one of the series also.

Blueberry we didnt have a suggestion for Historical Fiction and it can be set up to read any or all books in the series! I can even expand the timeframe to more than a month. I decided this way it is a done deal in scheduled for next year!!

I am very supportive. I will be looking for purchasing them soon.

Yes I guess all of our reads are actually that way except for the Non-Fiction of course.

We did not for the longest time have a Non-Fiction Topic. It has been really successful.

We have our FWC reads for next year!

Happy to see your interest in Butcher's Crossing. It is one I have been meaning to read for a long time now.

I’m looking forward to reading all of these in 2023. I’m on a bit of a westerns kick. I never really read many until a year or so ago.
