Shabeeh Haider | 5 comments I think we anyone who has read books in soft copy must have come across at least one free website which contains a treasure of books waiting to be read.
I know one such website i.e www.libgen.li this website works more like a search engine filtering out related websites from where you can download your book.
There is only one disadvantage of this website, it doesn't tolerate spell mistakes like google. You have to type exact spelling of the book otherwise results would be 0.
Kindly list down your recommendations for any other websites.

Batool✨ | 105 comments z library is also a wonderful website which i use to get pdfs well there are only two problem with z lib that it doesn't allow spell mistakes and it doesn't have urdu books except "the perfect mentor"
btw it's a good website to download any pdf, epub, mobi, and there are number of books waiting to be read.

Uzair | 1172 comments We already had a thread for it a few years ago!

It hasn't been updated I'm a while but it still works amazingly.

In my experience Z library has almost everything , like batool said.

For more niche books use irc channels ( for which there is a guide in the thread )

As for having to type the exact title , I often google it and then search
Or I search half of the name e.g Healing as opposed to the full name healing the emptiness.

Ramla Zareen Ahmad | 584 comments Hi,
Just thought I'd share about a few websites for free ebooks that I know of. Hope it helps :-)

1) NETGALLEY

You can request free digital copies of mostly upcoming or newly published books from Netgalley. The books are given in exchange for honest reviews I think, so you might need to review them on Goodreads or somewhere once you've read them.

You can get details from their website if you like:

2) BOOKFUNNEL

You can also get free ebooks from Book Funnel. In fact, there's this website called Reader's Alley, which provides latest Book Funnel promos, and you can download the free ebooks from there.

Here's the link if you're interested:

3) AMAZON

Amazon offers a number of free ebooks at any given time. Type "free xyz kindle books"—replacing xyz with your preferred genre—in the search engine and a list of books available for free at that particular time will appear. You can download them on your kindle and read them whenever you want.

However, I've heard you can only download the ebooks if your kindle is registered to the Amazon account in which your home address is of a country where Amazon operates. If this is true then Pakistani residents might not be able to access the ebooks as I believe Amazon doesn't operate in Pakistan as yet?

Waqar Ahmed | 44 comments I use Z library and then get the books printed by a FB-based bookstore in Karachi. I don't read ebooks.
