Celeste's 2023 ATY Prompt List

Clarity edits to make items more readable.
11-28-2022 Edit:
Changed "GoodReads" to "Goodreads".
Thank you to the librarians and individuals creating and amending entries for webcomics that actively fit the criteria and manual standards for books that are webcomics.
Previously debatable entries are deleted from the public's view if the reader hadn't already catalogued that not-a-book. Overall, this issue has nearly collapsed in on itself as interested readers like myself will never be able to see those deleted entries. Of the 89 entries left for me to search [on Nov. 28, 2022] that do have the author "NOT A BOOK", most have been correctly organized with "NOT A BOOK" as an additional author to the original author.
Added additional links.
11-04-2022:
I am frustrated by the efforts of Goodreads Librarians who actively delete authors from their own books. While Goodreads Librarians do a whole lot of good for the platform by adding to it, I am disappointed that they are willing to tear down and destroy the copyrighted material of others. If you want to add "NOT A BOOK" as an author, fine, do it. But do not delete the original author from the book's page as you have essentially deleted some of their hard-earned life's work from their author's profile.
It upsets me and other comic book lovers. It is not just the web comic that is unabashedly eliminated but it's the poetry chapbook and non-ISBN reading material. We don't all have money to buy ISBNs.
This purging is almost as bad as school libraries getting censored for keeping old classics and new LGBTQIA+ material on their shelves.
I can't speak for most, not for anyone else really, but I am upset and I have been struggling on how to get a voice out there about an issue on this platform that I started noticing in Summer 2022.
It is hypocritical to give out a Goodreads Book of the Year Award (I know it is just a popularity award but even that should give you a sense of how powerful the web comic has become! It has a future!) to a webcomic that got noticed and became a book when you throw out the format it came from.
CELESTE.
P.S. Please feel free to comment. Whether you're a ball of frustration about this like me or you are a Goodreads Librarian who understands the entanglements of Goodreads and know there is a bigger picture for all of this.
I know this is such a small miniscule issue concerning the world but what can I do as an overly-opinionated personality that is often a bit too enthusiastic and overbearing. What can I do?

Dead Wrong is set on the outskirts of Amish country in Texas, USA.
Location: Texas, USA

Dead Wrong by Vannetta Chapman
My rating: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Date completed: March 12th
Review: I finally finished a book!!! It was on Apple Books, so I only had to read one bit per day which made it much more relaxing. Certainly, a cozy mystery. I gave 4 stars for the ambience it gave me. If I were basing it off story and writing mechanics, the former would be 3.5-4 stars and the latter would be 3 stars. I am not the best writer but there were strange mistakes even I noticed and even slightly hindered my reading. Still the setting descriptions and introductions of the main characters were great. For other readers, the pacing may seem a bit slow however I think it matches with the idea and general character that this murder and its ensuing investigation takes place at an Amish Bed & Breakfast.

Ilsa Madden-Mills was an author I previously read in 2022. I hope to finish the second book of her duology "Game Changers" for this challenge.

I never understand the ATY categories "close call", "no designation" and "polarization" when I try to do this prompt since a lot of them are part of the ATY challenge. So confusing! All I can trust is "bottom".

A book filled with multiple deceptions and fakes trying to con readers and our two main characters into questioning everything they've learned throughout the book.

The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie
My rating: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Date completed: June 8th
Review: This was my first Agatha Christie book and it did not disappoint! I was interested and hooked almost from the beginning. The first couple paragraphs parallel my life, and I'm sure others, right now so well when they discuss money and their lack of. I like that Agatha Christie's stories can spirit one to a place of decadent riches and yet grasp human aspects that are true for all sorts of people.

야화첩 1/Painter of the Night by Byeonduck is set in the Joseon period between 1392-1897 A.D.

I'm confused about whether this is supposed to be a cover with a form of transportation on it or an actual route like a road.
Razorblade Tears by S.A. Cosby seems like an interesting book and it fits the prompt. It is a possibility. I found it while looking at Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke which also fits the prompt.

I met Holly Ash at a convention and was pleasantly convinced to buy the first book of her recently finished duology.
Cleansing Rain by Holly Ash

The presence of soldiers is throughout this book as I am reading the version that has "The 10 Little Soldiers" nursery rhyme. There are two characters that really are soldiers in this story. The conventional General John Gordon MacArthur, who retired to supposed splendor after WWI, and the cold-hearted mercenary/"soldier of fortune" Philip Lombard.
Profession: Soldier

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
My rating: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Date completed: June 9th
Review: This story was filled with heartless people. Only a few were sympathetic but still as Mr. Owen likes to remind us, they had killed and/or were a catalyst to death for the unfortunate persons that they came into contact with. Amazingly devious in plan and in killing methods, I had found certain parts of the story perplexing and other parts that ring true to this day.

Defined as a long short story or a short novel, novellas have been classified as 17,500 to 40,000 words. The Awakening is a "Did-not-finish" for me but only because I got distracted and not because it was a bad read.

Kikasete yo, Ai no Kotoba o by Sei Takenaka is a possibility as it would also satisfy a EHRTBM challenge I am working on until March 31.

Possibly オリンピア・キュクロス 1/Olympia Kyklos? I would have to read and make sure the theme of returning home is evident, but I think it should work.

Set in the New Mexico area starting in the year 1851.

#19 & #43 Prompt Announcement

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie
My rating: 3 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐
Date completed: October 4
Review: My favorite characters were Roger Ackroyd and, secondly, the doctor. The story had me almost until the end. Like Agatha Christie, I am getting fed up Hercule Poirot's incredible confidence. Am I slightly jealous? Yes.
But the reason why this is 3 stars instead of 4 is because I just couldn't get into it. I couldn't pay attention. Perhaps I was too busy. I may read it again at a later date,
