I just realized that my non-fiction book fulfills the extra requirement of Rome or Italian, place or character. He was held prisoner 2 years in what is today southern Italy.
I'm 3 of 4 done. Just need 3rd in the series as of 3/10

Thanks Aly
I was really worried about both the Italian/Rome connection and the 3rd in the series. I thought that I might tap into the Lunar Chronicals as I'm up to Cress, but I wanted to hold off with that. Instead I read on in the MacCabe trilogy and was happy with it as it got better as it went along. I also ended up back into the Demon series of Diana Rowland and was very happy with the story too.
The surprise of the Black Count being imprisoned in Italy (City State of Naples, Taranto) was just bonus. I knew he was imprisoned as Alexandre Dumas uses that experience, of his dad, to base the imprisonment of The Count of Monte Cristo, I just didn't know it was in Italy.

-Or... since April is "National Humor Month" to you Americans, a book that is a comedy?
-April 10 Siblings Day: Books that has siblings in it? Or is centred around them.
-April 22 Earth Day: a book with a character that is a botanist, fights against polution or has earth magic, or there are plants/trees on the cover...
-April 23 Talk Like Shakespeare Day: Read a Shakespeare or Shakespeare inspired book/novel/play
-Jazz Appreciation Month A book with Jazz in it or which takes place in New Orleans

Or in the title :D
Sorry about the April challenge. I went on vacation and just got back on Monday night. I meant to put up either a quarter challenge or April monthly challenge.
How about another mini-challenge for April? 3 or 4 books that can be retroactive for all of April.
I think of April as the flower month with all the cherry trees and apple blossoms. We could have showers/storms as one, Flowers as another, Easter and pastel colors, and for April Fools, a book where some one is trying to pull a fast one, most mysteries fit.
I'll put it up later today.

Hopefully we can get some readers this late in the game. I've been meaning to read Amaryllis, Zinnia, and Orchid and
has a great storm on the cover. I've been meaning to read that forever too. Let see if I can get to them.
