If a book is clearly non-fiction, but doesn't have that listed as an MPG (eg because the book is very new) can it still be claimed for an "It's a Fact" ticket or does the MPG Non-Fiction need to appear?

(I have 2 specific examples, but have come across others:
India Uniform Nine Secrets From Inside a Covert Customs Unit by Mark Perlstrom - very new, only has 6 reviews so far including mine!
Dreams Do Come True by Katherine Grainger - has Biography & Autobiography listed but not Non-Fiction)

A Nonfiction main page genre is not a requirement

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3675 comments So I've got another IAF question, and here seems as good a place as any to ask it.

I'm planning on reading The Man Who Never Was: The Remarkable Story of Operation Mincemeat.

It's a well-known memoir/biography of a historical event, but it has a combination of non-fiction and fiction tags on the new book page:

Nonfiction tags: History, Nonfiction, War, World War II, Espionage, Military History, Biography (Thriller)

Fiction tags: Military Fiction, British Literature (Thriller)

I suspect it's not the only book which has both non-fiction and tags on GR, with the new way they do them, so the question is, with mixed tags, is it eligible to claim an It's a Fact ticket for it?

If it is nonfiction and you think the genre tags may be confusing, explain in your post.
"Agent Montagu tells the story as only an insider could"

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3675 comments I understand about not needing "Nonfiction", as I saw what you said above to Lucy.

The query was more generally about books which have both obvious non-fiction tags like History and Biography, and at the same time have fiction tags like "Military Fiction" and "British Literature".

However, if an explanation is sufficient, then I'll go with that in this case.
