Sara (leavemeatthelibrary) I hope it’s okay to make a thread. I’ve looked in the recommendations and I don’t see anything that fits.

I’d like something about research being done in the Arctic Circle, or Norway, Finland, etc. Do you remember the bit in the Midnight Library where she’s up that way at the research center? Something with that vibe.

I’m currently reading Girl in Ice as my fiction choice and I think a non-fiction in this vein would pair nicely. Thank you!

Janalyn, the blind reviewer | 7 comments That really does sound like it would be a good book about research in the Arctic Circle but all I know about are like empire and ice,… Only expeditions of that nature.

Natalia (nataliamachado) The only one that I’ve read is Madhouse at the end of the earth, but it is not a modern exploration, it is about an expedition from 1897

I own a book called Iced In by Chris Turney. Not sure if that is what you are looking for. Also have one called Hard Rivers: The Untold Saga of La Salle: Expedition II by Craig P. Howard. Have not read yet.
