Nominate books for the January group read here!

Rules:
Must be the first book in a series if it is part of a series.
Must be under 350 pgs
Must be under $10
Must have been published more than 6 months ago
The person that nominates a winning book will help a mod run the group read (you will be required to come up with 2-3 discussion questions, your mod partner will create the rest)

You may nominate one book for the monthly category. This month's category is: Mystery/Thriller

Submit your nominations below. Nominations will be open for one week December 1-7.

To start this off, I'll nominate Still Life (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #1) by Louise Penny by Louise Penny. I've already read it years ago, but it's such an amazing series that I'd be happy to reread it if there is any interest.

This looks good - but is it Mystery/Thriller? That's the category this month.

Do you want to nominate a mystery/thriller book? It certainly could also be a romance.

D.L. | 1453 comments I will nominate Deal Breaker by Harlan Coben. I've been meaning to re-read it anyway. It's really good and suspenseful.

Bobbi (schadenfreudian) | 618 comments I'll nominate Kismet by Amina Akhtar by Amina Akhtar. It sounds like such a fun read (and is free on Kindle Unlimited).

Bah! Nevermind - it's too new.

Ugh, disregard. It'll only have been published 5 months in January, not 6.

Bobbi (schadenfreudian) | 618 comments Instead, I'll nominate The Resort by Sue Watson by Sue Watson. It's also free on KU.

No worries - I'm sure you'll find something a bit older to nominate!

Thanks for catching that Bobbi.

I nominate The Red House Mystery by A.A. Milne (yes, the Winnie-the-Pooh author). Written in 1922, it's a locked door type mystery.

It's free on Amazon, Project Gutenberg, LibriVox (a website for free public domain audiobooks), and most libraries have the ebook and audiobook. My Hoopla has 8 different ebooks and 2 audiobooks available!

Let's go with Tortoise Stew by P.C. Zick . Free on KU always works. The other one is over the page limit and I'm not sure of cost because I don't know the conversion rate to Euros.
