i started this last night because my book light is dead and needed something on my kindle to read. Being a care giver is hard. My sister did it for a long time and my mom has too.
I don't feel like Jess is the usual main character we get from Nevill. There is no nice way to say this, but she seems unstable and weak. I haven't found out her back story yet, but I have my guesses.

76% or page 130, that’s it, I quit. I would not return to that job after that. After what Jess finds.

I finished it yesterday! I've been silently lurking for others to finish it as well. I loved the way it turned out.

I did too! I wasn’t sure about any of it at the start but it all came together great in the end.

Yes! I found it interesting that (view spoiler)[ the cages were made from Hawthorn cause if I’m not mistaken, that’s supposed to protect your from witches, right? Or maybe that’s Rowan? Ohh! The bad guys were in hawthorn cages so the women were protected from them. My brain went click! Oh I love that!! (hide spoiler)]

Ok, so I read the first 9 short chapters last night and I’m hooked! I’m anticipating a whole lot going on in this hoarder house!

I am around 14% into the book:

I’m a bit past 50% now. I have to say that I kind of agree with @Latasha, I still don’t like Jess too much. I do get it that she’s dealing with a lot. Also, I’m wondering if the vessel is ?

So here are my thoughts so far at 32% in:

(view spoiler)[I cannot believe that Jess brought her daughter to the house. Interesting that Flo seemed to like to have Izzy there but then that might be not for the best either - something is up with that as I can feel it coming. lol

The creepy artifacts in the house is not a good thing - maybe they are cursed is what I am thinking or they are part of a more sinister reasoning. My wonderings are all over the spike meter! LOL (hide spoiler)]

Just received my copy today, and will start reading if I can find a suitable breaking point in my current reading. Looking forward to this.

I finished it last night and I was surprised to be at the end. On kindle it showed that I was only at about 85%. Turns out there’s a lot of stuff after including an afterward by the author that was interesting.
It all came together well, though a bit of a fast wrap-up for me. I definitely enjoyed it and the ending was good, I think I just kind of wanted a bit more.

I have seen that happen before with books - where they will end about the 75% mark and then you will have a bunch of pages with upcoming info on books coming out or something. Plus like you were saying about there being an afterward - I have seen that lots of times too. Authors will use that space for giving details of the book or why they wrote the story.

I am still under the 50% mark - being reading two books at once and going back and forth between them. lol I am a book juggler! lol
