Prologue - Chapter 7

I find the Elders way of referring to Meg really funny (Broomstick Girl, howling not-Wolf), and I can't wait for when they actually interact.
I really liked Twyla with how honest she is and that she doesn't sugarcoat things, like when she told Elliot not to hire Sierra.
I really hope that Cyrus/Jimmy is dealt with the Others' way, ie that he disappears or becomes food for the gard/Elders.
Sierra is a complete idiot and I really don't like her.
There were a couple of letters shown, and I thought that they could have been shorter as I found them a bit boring.

Chapter 8
(view spoiler)[I agree with everything that Nadine and Simon said, when they were talking to Jeremy and Sierra.
I think that Sierra will want to keep her daughters so she'll say that she won't help Jeremy anymore, but she'll probably end up doing something for him again, most likely saying that it will be the last time.

Chapter 21 - 27
(view spoiler)[I really didn't understand everyone's reaction when they found what was left of Jeremy. What did they expect?
I thought that there could have been more shown of what the Elders did to him because it felt like he didn't get what he deserved.

(view spoiler)[I thought that the ending could have been a bit longer as I wanted to see more about Meg healing, and Meg and Simon's relationship development.

Prologue - Chapter 8

This one is interesting so far. I wonder what the Elders are going to do, they're so different from the regular Others that it's hard to tell.

Cyrus is a bad apple. I have a feeling he's going to cause a lot of problems for the residents of the Courtyard. I get why the Elders want him close by to watch him but he's dangerous.


I'm curious what Sierra's answer is going to be. I imagine she'll say that she'll cut Cyrus out so she can keep her kids but I feel like she's going to go back on her word there.

Chapters 9-16

Meg using the cards for prophecy is a nice change of pace compared to the cutting.

Cyrus is causing too much trouble, he needs to leave. I hope he doesn't figure out what Meg is.

Eve's dinner was a nice scene. I like that Skippy changed because he didn't want to be left out. I wonder if he'll be doing that more now?

Cyrus is causing so many issues. The Others should have dealt with him before. Now he's taken Meg. I can't imagine that will end well for him.

I liked that Henry confronted the Elders over what happened since it was their fault Cyrus was still around.

Chapters 25-33

Well can't say Cyrus didn't get what was coming to him. The Elders were vicious when they caught him.

I like Meg and Simon's relationship. It developed nicely over the course of the series and I feel like this book ended with it in a good place.
