I've also got The Narrow Road to the Deep North on the go which I borrowed from a work colleague. I'm going to read this and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (which I purchased from the wonderful Unity Books) while I'm on holiday in Aus over the next two weeks. Can't wait!
Hi steph! At the moment I'm reading a collection of short stories by Raymond Carver called What We Talk About When We Talk About Love He is the master of the short story with emotional impact. I also confess to reading a self-help book called 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do: Take Back Your Power, Embrace Change, Face Your Fears, and Train Your Brain for Happiness and Success. Should I admit to that ha ha?! It's new and I do love a good self-help book!

I'm partway through Isabel Allende's Of Love and Shadows. It's about a journalist and a photographer team working in an unnamed Latin American country who uncover a hideous crime committed by the regime, and their struggle to reveal the truth. The book isn't really grabbing me but it's very well reviewed on Goodreads, so I'm currently wondering if I should stick with it!
I have The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry on my nightstand which I've been wanting to read for a while, as well as The White Woman on the Green Bicycle, so I'm pretty keen to start working through my queue!
