PopSugar Reading Challenge 2023 discussion

What book did you read that you should have read in high school? Was it assigned to you and you didn't read it? Or you wish you had read it sooner?

On January 2, 2023, I read Shirley Jackson's THE LOTTERY. I'm certain I was supposed to have read this story in high school, but now that I've read it, I'm sure I didn't read it back then; I sure would have remembered the story!

Read “Fahrenheit 451” for the first time this year. I’m 100% sure that counts.

I chose The Alchemist and finished it in one day. It was an amazing book and got a 5 star review from me.

I think I'm going to go either Hemmingway or Emerson

I read Catcher in the Rye for this because I haven't ever read it and it feels like a typical high school read
