Mel Foster | 11 comments Jonathan Mayhew needs to be disambiguated. The account has been claimed by a Spanish professor at the University of Kansas but works by preacher Jonathan Mayhew (October 8, 1720 – July 9, 1766) need to be disambiguated to a new page. I do not see one for him currently.

Are you talking about the post from Rivka, June 20, 2021?

When I tried to disambiguate via my usual route, the message I get is "Sorry, this author is on Goodreads and is responsible for editing their own data." I'm not saying there isn't a way to do it; Goodreads has made many changes over the years. But that's why I posted it here.

https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Add one extra space between his first and last name.

Mel Foster | 11 comments When I search the topic of disambiguating Goodreads authors, I see two posts here. One says that disambiguation does not work as normal for Goodreads authors but can be done work by work. In the other, Rivka suggests using "contact us" to fix the problem.

"Contact us" does not mean superlibrarians.

Also, disambiguation always has to be done work by work.

Mel Foster | 11 comments Thank you Scott for giving me the help I needed.
I saw since first posting that someone has already been moving works over.
Thank you again and I will delete this initial post.

Update: Nope. I can't delete my post but can refile.
Sorry I was ignorant.
