This is the story of a Black Marine trying to survive against an Imperial Japanese Officer in the last days of WWII.
WWII is a cultural staple for Americans, as it takes centerstage in movies, TV, video games, and of course books. But I wanted to tell a different story than our national narrative, one that included POC & women characters, and a discussion of America's role in replacing the diminishing Japanese Empire.
