This month we will be reading The Color Purple by Alice Walker

I’ll be reading this one! Excited to read a modern classic, the topic is important and a perfect February read. A little cautious going into it knowing there are going to some hard emotions evoked but I’m here for it.

I have been putting off reading this book forever! (my TBR just seems to grow and grow and grow) what a wonderful February read. cannot wait to start : )

A tip that might be helpful to anyone trying to get used to the writing style:
try subvocalization ( if you don't already naturally do it.)

I am a bit late, but I will try to join- looking forward to it!
- I ordered the book, but I am not 100% sure whether it will arrive on time... but I really hope so! (otherwise I will read it at the beginning of March)
