M.G. King (mgking) | 727 comments In our BOTM poll, we had a tie going between The Westing Game and Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. Since there was so much interest in the book, I thought I'd open a thread for discussion. Any Ellen Raskin fans out there?

M.G. King (mgking) | 727 comments I'm guessing that a lot of readers will have already read The Westing Game, since it's a Newbery classic (1979). I recently re-read it. Very interested in comparing it to the more recent Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library, so I'll be on both threads : )

I haven't read either. Clearly I have some work to do (but can't start just yet...way behind with the books I already have out of the library!)

Erin Pauley | 12 comments The Westing Game is a classic! It is one of the books I read as a kid and made me want to keep reading books, that and the Egypt Game.

Lindsay (lmeyer72914) I read The Westing Game years ago but can't remember the content. My 4th grader (10yo) is interested in reading it for a book report. She reads at a 7-8th grade reading level, so I know she could handle the reading itself. What I'm wondering (or trying to remember) is whether or not the content too old for her. Thoughts?

Kate Matson (mjett5578) I loved The Westing Game. It was so funny, with twists and turns around veery corner.
