Eden returns from Germany with Dan and she’s six months pregnant, claiming Izzy is the father. They both know that’s impossible but Izzy lies for her. Why?

He wants to be her hero and protect her from the consequences of the situation that led to her pregnancy.

Because Izzy is a good guy and a nurturer. This was evident with Tracy as well.

Izzy has already designated himself as Eden’s protector. He denied being the baby’s father until he learned Eden made the claim. In that moment, he decided that if she was saying that, she must have a good reason and he was Team Eden.
