Bree and Matt’s relationship has moved to the next level. How should she handle it publicly?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Matt doesn't work directly for her. He is a consultant but I assume since she is the one who hired him, she could also fire him. She needs to be careful that is doesn't look like she is using her position to force a relationship. Matt knows she isn't doing that, but outsiders may see it differently.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments It seems she is open to making it public. He is an independent consultant and not really in her employ, so I don't see any conflict of interest.

Neither of them is the type to worry about what outsiders think, and those who care about them already accept their relationship.

She’s in an elected position and it’s better to face it now than later. He’s a consultant so she’s not his employer. The only scrutiny would be if he wasn’t qualified for the role or if there was some question as to whether there were better ones than Matt. It will be bumpy at first but the public will move on.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with everyone. It is good for the relationship if Bree acknowledges Matt publicly. He won't be her secret anymore.

They live in a small town. There are limited options, and I don't think the townsfolk will fault her unless she keeps lying about it. That would make it seem wrong and stir gossip. It will be interesting to see how they move forward.
