This story centered on three relationships: Sophia & Dave, Tracy & Decker and Tess & Nash. By focusing on multiple relationships in one story, did the author adequately develop all of them or were any or all of them diminished somewhat? Which was your favorite and why?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Brockmann developed them all really well, and I enjoyed all three. That said, Decker and Tracy are my favorite. It's fantastic seeing him finally open up to someone, and the fact that it was "ditsy" Tracy, who is really the smartest of the bunch, was an added bonus.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Since all three relationships had been developing over the course of the series, I thought they were already pretty well developed as people. I pick Dave and Sophia and my favorite couple. Sophia wanted "safe" and Dave turned out to not be safe, but exactly what Sophia needed.

When I posted the link to my review on Twitter, here’s what Brockmann replied:

“A lovely review of one of my personal favorite books in the TS series! This was my chance to write a romance novel with many couples, all in various stages of their relationships—not just the typical romance novel beginning/falling in love.”

It’s why I asked the question because I hadn’t thought about it since all of them felt nicely developed.

It was a tie between Tracy & Decker and Sophia & Dave for different reasons. I never saw Tracy coming and was fascinated at what she got out of Decker. It’s like he shed years of weight. Sophia & Dave’s story was so beautiful it made me weepy. Both of them deserved a great love and Brockmann did them justice.

She did!

It isn't that I didn't appreciate and enjoy Nash and Tess's HEA now that he has finally opened up to her completely, it is just that we already had their romance and there was no doubt in my mind that they would resolve their issues.

Tess’s love for Nash is unconditional. I always knew that but she made that abundantly clear in this story. I agree, we’d already had their love story but Brockmann took it to a new level.
