This is a long one... but so far very entertaining and enjoyable!

No one else has any opinions on this one? Super long and meandering, but it was worth the read.


Carlton | 93 comments I read this nearly forty years ago, so have read, and remember it being striking (I think that’s the word I’m looking for) at the time, so I agree that it is worth the read.
However I have only half heartedly started reading another of Marquez’s books, so I didn’t love it. Perhaps a bit like Midnight’s Children, which also uses magical realism, and where I have subsequently only read essays by Rushdie.
