This new thread is for quotes that are missing words, or which have been otherwise imported incorrectly. This is often the case when a member adds their Kindle highlights, but the sentence has not been properly highlighted.

We've added a new thread due to the large amount of these requests each day, and because these are often a less urgent type of request.

David Jack (smeagolthemagnificent) | 19 comments The top quote at the link below (“To be trusted is a greater compliment than being loved.”) is very slightly wrong. The word "being" should be replaced by "to be".

Also, since it is the most popular George MacDonald quote, it would be nice if it had the source (as long as this is allowed,) Several of the others have the source but this one doesn't. So here's the book the quote is from from first, if that can be added:

The Marquis of Lossie

And here's the quote itself (at the top of this link) so the correction can be made.

Second last para, teh should be the, and the at start of sentence needs capital.
