Theo awakens in the hospital minus his appendix and quite smitten with the lovely Dr. Renard who turns out to be a surgeon. Share your thoughts on this pairing – their awkward introduction and obvious chemistry.

This is one of the more inventive "Meet Cutes" that I have ever read. It was funny and showed that even when she was out of her element and at a gathering, she was still very much a doctor. I loved that Theo thought she was robbing him when she was actually saving his life.

When he woke up and found out just how wrong he was, he realized that his life had an end date and that he had let it slip by him by working so much. The beautiful and competent doctor intrigued him, and it was mutual.

Well said, Anita. I thought this was a unique way for the hero and heroine to meet. Theo was totally enamored with Michelle from the moment he woke up in the hospital and realized she saved his life. I think she was just as smitten as he was.

Definitely my favorite Meet Cute in some time!! I also thought it hit Theo particularly hard since he was questioning his life and where he was going for personally and career wise from here.

I think it was the wake up call he needed to reevaluate his life and what he really wanted from it.

I agree. I love the way they meet, and how Michelle stays on Theo's mind.

I agree Anita. Medical emergencies makes one think about how much of life was waster, or changes that are needed.
