It appears Catherine wasn’t as clueless as John thought as she changed her will excluding him and mailed evidence needed to take down John and The Sowing Club to Michelle in Bowen, La. An “in-your-face” letter to John given to him at the reading of the will explains why he can’t attempt to break the will, setting him on a rampage. How did Catherine’s actions change your opinion of her? Did you see this coming?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I respected her final f**k you to John. It was brilliant. But I also wondered why Catherine gave up on herself and let herself become his victim. I did see it coming, but that may be because I have read this book before.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I couldn't figure out if Catharine actually thought she was dying or if she suspected that John would try to kill her. Either way, she was ready to make sure that he didn't get her money and that he'd pay for his illegal actions.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I'm with you two. I still wonder about her health and her thought processes. I thought that she could confide in her lawyers about her suspicions. I did love the fact that she got him. He didn't have what he needed to keep his side pieces happy, and he no longer had the money to keep himself in the life he wanted to live.
