My thoughts exactly! Same pattern. We'll see if it continues...or changes.

I see the pattern too. I was expecting it. That is one of the reason I was surprised Dylan left Kate alone.

Dylan made me laugh. He really played things close to the vest for the whole book. I loved him 'reminding' Kate of all the lies she told his potential dates over the years.
I was shocked when we found out that Kate's mom included her business in the loan she took out for her bills. Was glad to find out at the end it was false. Her uncle and cousins were terrible.
However, I thought it was crazy that she wouldn't keep any of it or use it to get herself out of debt, help her sisters pay off college. It was nice that she wanted to donate to charity but she didn't need to donate all of it - regardless of whether she thought her uncle was odious. I had my sights on Vanessa or Terrence - never thought of Nat at all. Until he got so pissed that Dylan didn't let Nat know where Dylan or Kate were.

I also think she should have used the money to get out of debt especially since it was her mother's debt. Wasn't that the point? To use the money in her mother's honor because that is exactly what her Uncle did not want. Paying off the debt would be right in line with that.
