Alice Poon (alice_poon) This is my first self-published novel and I am looking for reviewers to write reviews of it. I could provide a PDF file or a MOBI file (Kindle version) of the book by email if anyone is interested in reviewing it.

It is a story of love, corruption, greed and betrayal set in a past era in colonial Hong Kong, spanning four decades from the late 1940s – a period marked by patriarchal bigotry, gender discrimination and Western ideals beginning to challenge old Chinese traditions.

Wendy, the self-made corporate executive, has strong faith in free will and conscientious choices but has a hard time living up to her principles. Diana, the spoiled and selfish daughter of a property tycoon, prefers to find refuge in superstition and self-delusion. Their lives cross each other in fiery episodes.

In October 1987 (when world stock markets crashed on Black Monday), Wendy the working-class idealist and Diana the would-be heiress finally come to a face-off in a corporate takeover attempt, the outcome of which leads to a life-changing epiphany for both characters.

Christine Keleny (christinekeleny) | 20 comments Alice,
I am interested in reading this.

If you would like, I can convert your word doc of this book to epub and mobi files. That way you can share it easier with folks.

Christine Keleny

Alice Poon (alice_poon) Hi Christine,

That's great. Can I PM you so that I can get your email address?

It's so kind of you to offer to do the conversion for me. I would love that. Maybe I could send you both the PDF file and the Word file at the same time.

I truly appreciate your help!

Christine Keleny (christinekeleny) | 20 comments All I need is the word file. I'll read the epub once I convert it ;)

My email is christinekeleny@yahoo.com

I was a first time author once too, so if I can help a little bit, I like to.
Christine

Alice Poon (alice_poon) I've just emailed you the Word file of my novel. Thanks again Christine :)
