Deviki | 207 comments I know right today morning the support team simply stated there is no way to recover the data ........I'm stunned that they don't practice backup archive of their database.

But after doing so research it seems I'm not the only who had their entire library books deleted. Some managed to get partial data while most didn't get further help from GD support !

Did you all know that you can backup your work from GD ? Please do it at least once a year as GD does not have proper support and tech help.

I am sorry to hear about the incident, Deviki. I found it quite disturbing to know. Cannot imagine if all my reading data on GR lost forever.

Thanks for sharing the backup info, I would like to do that immediately.

Bo Manson | 53 comments I read what you wrote once yesterday and again today...I just can't...all those years of data poof! GONE.

Anyway, I wish you all the best on rebuilding your library. I made a dedicated Excel spreadsheet thanks to my paranoid ass. It felt so unnecessary and redundant but still, what if I can't access the cloud? what if I forgot where I hid my hard disk? corrupted? stolen?....I'm going crazy

Hell yeah, I learnt my lesson the hard way. I'm trying my best to recall the books I've read before the deletion to add back to my list but the reviews I can't do all over again.

I created storygraph account and will transfer my GD books there as a back up as well

Wah...berita sedih kalau hilang semua data.

That's why sometimes printed version is the best.

Hell yeah, I usually write detailed review because if the book is not a standalone than my reviews can help remind me how exactly I felt and expected for the next book.

I have a few series books that I read 2 years back and I finding it difficult to recall details of my own opinion.
