Laurie Woodford Yes, definitely worth reading if you like deep romcoms with authentic characters with emotional wounds and interesting subplots. That all sounds very serious, but it's also a fun read.

Charlotte Yes! Its title tells it all, it’s a perfect beach read, or a day of kicking back to read day. I loved it.

BEA I would say yes if you are into quick and easy romance novels. It was a simple read and didn't require much thought process on my end to follow along with story.

Hope that helps!

Nadiia Voloshyna Definitly yes. It`s a great romantic story with deeply traumatized main characters. But at the same time, it`s so funny and easy to read

Tai yes 100%. I have read 3 of Emily Henry's books so far and I LOVED all of them...her characters are written really well and the storyline is funny, interesting and easy to follow. I haven't read her books in a while so forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure she doesn't write in those stupid miscommunication tropes either which is good because they can get sooooo annoying

rita whitethorn No. I thought it was very slow and kinda boring. Sorry

jenna same i hated it but i enjoyed all of her other books

Daniel Griffith YES YES YES YES, this is a great book! I am a guy and this is one of my favorite books, Emily henry is a fantastic writer! Read the other ones of her books there all fanfics!

Emily Yes!!!! I read this book in a day and couldn't get enough!! The writing and the plot had me hooked from the start, and I fell in love with the story and the characters! Would definitely recommend to anyone: there are parts that made me super emotional and then there were times I was smiling and kicking my feet haha

Daniel Griffith Same! this book is gold, if i didnt have school i would read it all day! every chapter has a twist plot and i love she an amzing writer! This book is going in my top 10

Mehriban Rita wrote: "No. I thought it was very slow and kinda boring. Sorry"
me too,I don't get the hype tbh

Daniel Griffith I think it starts off kind of slow but it picks up pretty quickly try it it again.

C.Rios Having read Beach Read, Book Lovers, and People We Meet on Vacation all by Emily Henry, this book is the one I unfortunately would not recommend. It has a cute enemies to lovers type of romance, but there is this heavy subplot that I feel is ruined with the romcom writing style the author utilizes.

Don't get me wrong in that I absolutely loved her other two works that I have read so far, just this one is not one I would start with when looking into her books. I would only read this one if you needed more Emily Henry in your life after finishing the other two (I haven't read Happy Place yet so I can't add anything about that one).

aerin ✧.* i lovedd it soo much!!!

the main characters are amazing :)

and the ending is so so beautiful

Grace Li Yes, I think it was worth reading and I enjoyed it, but it is not a book I would likely read again.

Cerys O'Sullivan Yes! I thought the plot was going to be different but it was so much better!!

metrying absolutely :)

Destiny Arias i loved it!! have not read any others from emily henry yet, but i think it's going to the best.

message 20: by aya (new) - rated it 4 stars

aya yes, i think is my fav of her books

Jenna Haynes YES!!! For sure. I have read all of her books, none have let me down. It is a great light read.

message 22: by Zee (new) - rated it 5 stars

Zee Yes this book is definitely worth it. It is very well-written.

message 23: by Ashton (new) - added it

Ashton Farrell Yessss this book was my first Emily Henry book and I have since gone out and purchased all of her books because its so good

Allison Miele Yes!

Though it's important to know that the title doesn't represent it well, this is more than just your average short beach read. This is a quick in-depth observation of how your childhood/experience actively shape your outlook on life and perspective on love. Executing the wrong time right person, suddenly the right time 10 years later trope with surprising complexity.

sophia long ngl my least favourite out of all her books but i still liked it

brenna salmon yes especially if you love "rivals to lovers" and the whole story tied well together as the book progressed

message 27: by Eline (new) - rated it 1 star

Eline No, don't read it if you don't like a forced love story. The main character is sooooo unrelatble and this book is just one BIG FLOP. The connection between the character doesn't feel real in any way and I have the feeling they were forced to like each other. The title confused me too, because I thought it was goign to be a cute summer beach romance. Spoiler alert it was not. I personally didn't like, even tho I wanted too.

Chaimae 🪩🍉 Yes! literally one of my favorite reads ever. I personally found it very relatable and beautifully written!

Slaypleton Yes, if you come into it with realistic expectations. Henry's work is extremely hyped (but deserving IMO), but if you like witty dialogue and tongue-in-cheek narration, you'll enjoy this book. Not my favorite Emily Henry (Happy Place), but I'll probably still reread.

message 30: by Gabs (new) - rated it 5 stars

Gabs Yes! Henry is the reason why I got into romances and no other author so far compares. She has a way of making her characters feel intimate to you.
