Welcome to our new e-book club!

I'm so excited that our first selection is a non-fiction book. I really do believe the old adage that "Truth is stranger than fiction." Laura Bates has gotten great reviews for this book- even from the very picky Kirkus magazine.

So, let's get started! Please let us know if you have suggestions, comments or questions. And, as always, if you need help with an e-book you can contact us here at the library. Enjoy!

This was a really quick read. I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I found it a little too - how should I put it- saccarine? Pollyanna- ish? I found it hard to believe that Larry Newton was truly rehabilitated simply through self-reflection, though I also don't feel it's right to let a minor sign away his right to ever appeal for parole (anybody else remember Norman Mailer and Jack Henry Abbott?). What do you think?
