Ellie is considered a witness to the FBI shooting and needs protection. Max becomes her bodyguard doing everything in his power to keep her name off the witness list. Why is Max determined to keep her name private? Is he professionally or personally motivated?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments He knows that witnesses against the Landry's have a habit of disappearing, so he wants to make sure that Ellie stays safe. I think his motives are professional, but he is also highly motivated personally.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I agree with Anita.

Max was hit by the same attraction thunderbolt that stunned Ellie, so the personal connection was there, even when both denied it or tried to contain it.

Jessica | 156 comments Max is trying to protect her from being afraid as he knew she must have been as a kid. Definitely personally motivated but some professionalism in there as well. Why put more witnesses at risk if they can't even help?
