Autumn Trees Mix-and-Match Challenge



Deciduous trees lose their leaves at the end of their growing season. This occurs in the fall in temperate deciduous forests, and in the dry season in tropical and subtropical deciduous forests.

TASKS:

Oak - There are about 450 species of oak; many with broad flat leaves. Acorns are the fruit of oak trees.
🍂Read a book by an author whose name (first or last) begins with a vowel.

Maple - Maples are often used as ornamental trees in landscaping and in areas where shade is desired. Maple leaves become brightly colored in fall.
🍂Read a book with a brightly colored cover OR a cover that is at least 25% red, yellow and/or orange.

Beech trees are native to North America and Eurasia.
🍂Read a book with double vowels in the title or author's name. May be the same or different letters (ex: oo, ee, ie, ea, ai, ou, oi).
