I love the Realms of the Elderlings series so much - Hobb is a genius! Did you participate in our group read a few years back?
I'm caught up on my October Daye books now and I'm about to start an out of genre read with Fortune, a free Kindle First download.

Ah, my home state. Enjoy Wisconsin!

I finished:
Callander Square by Anne Perry, 7.5/10, the second book in the Charlotte and Thomas Pitt series.
The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang, 8/10, comments in our series discussion folder.
Holy Sister by Mark Lawrence, 9.5/10. A powerful, fitting conclusion to the Book of the Ancestor series. The main story, revolving around Nona, her fellow novices/sisters, and the world around them, was action-packed, thrilling, and at times, heart-wrenching. This book (and series) is about power, courage, and loyalty. Above all, it is about friendship—with others and with oneself.
Currently reading Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel.

I talked about it on my blog:
https://wordsandpeace.com/2023/10/18/...

I finally started a marathon of the Vox Machina campaign of Critical Role earlier this year and it has literally taken up almost all of my free time.
I'm currently 294h 51m into it
83h 19m left to go.
I should finish before the end of the year.
But its October and I really wanted to take some time out for some spooky stuff.
So, between last weekend and this, I've read all of the Into Shadow Collection (most are more fantasy then horror) as well as most of the Creature Feature Collection.
My top favorites have been
The Six Deaths of the Saint (5 stars)
Ankle Snatcher
In Bloom
I believe I would have enjoyed Undercover a lot more than I did, but it it had a problem. Multiple female characters combined with liberal use of pronouns and poor ebook formatting in some areas made it somewhat difficult to keep track of who was speaking to whom about whom. Also, for some unknown reason, my brain kept expecting it to be in 1st person when it absolutely was not.
To finish the month of October, I'm also going to start A House with Good Bones in audio. I really loved two previous books by this author so I have high hopes here.
I also really want to get into At the End of Every Day but it may need to wait until I finish the Vox Machina campaign.

So Started At the End of Every Day
I wrapped up October with:
Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel, and my comments are in our group discussion folder for the book.
I read The Burning God by R.F. Kuang, 7/10, and my comments are in the folder for our series read of The Poppy War.
Then I read another Charlotte & Thomas Pitt mystery by Anne Perry called Paragon Walk, 8/10.
I started Children of Memory by Adrian Tchaikovsky but I’m not very far. Hope to get back to it this weekend.
