17. Nominated For The Booker Prize

The Booker Prize is a literary award given for the “best novel written in the English language, which was published in the United Kingdom or Ireland.” This prompt is for any book that has been nominated for a Booker Prize. This may be the final winner, or a book that was shortlisted or longlisted from any year. You can find the nominees based on Prize Years here: https://thebookerprizes.com/the-booke....

The first Booker Prize was won in 1969. You may choose any nominee from any year. The book may or may not have ultimately gone on to win the Booker Prize for that year. Regardless of the fact that the Booker Prize is for the “best novel written in the English language,” you do not have to read your copy in English, your copy may have been translated into any language.
