Got Goosebumps? one week group reading challenge
To claim a book or two to read for, post the # and title of the book. After you have read the book(s), come and claim one or two more. Please don't claim more than you think you can read in a week.
Feel free to mention how your book links to the Goosebumps book.
When a book is claimed, I will remove the book's cover and strike through the title.
When you have finished reading your book, please post a Completion Post on the
"I Had Goosebumps" thread. I will then remove the book's blurb from the list, leaving just the title.

Alex gets to stay with his Uncle Colin and Aunt Marta for two weeks. They are pretty cool professional photographers. They only have two requests. Don't go into the woods late at night and stay away from the creepy house next door.
Poor Alex. He just wanted to take a couple of pictures. But now he's about to find out the secret of Wolf Creek.
61.
I Live in Your Basement!
(Kira)
62. Monster Blood IV (Aoife)
Evan Ross can't forget about Monster Blood - the evil green slime that never stops growing. It can turn ordinary pets into ferocious animals and twelve-year-old kids into freakish giants.
But now there's a new kind of Monster Blood in town. It comes in a can just like the others. Only difference is this slime is blue instead of green. And instead of just growing, it's multiplying - into terrifying blue creatures with razor-sharp teeth.

Ashley, I'm glad you get to re-read one of your favorites!
VampAmber, that's amazing that you're re-reading the series. You've got #s 8 and 10.

I'm also doing the Babysitters Club books, but they don't come in as handy for this particular challenge. And it turns out they both still hold up, even if they're beyond dated at points (no cell phones? no internet? no Netflix? the horror!).

Miss this one?"
I did. I think I was working on posting Message 36 while you were posting :(

I am hoping to read Legends & Lattes again as the next one comes out next month. :) A legendary orc adventurer retires and uses a legendary item to start a coffee shop.

Hmmm, I wonder what kind of challenge I could make out of the Babysitters Club? Didn't they make a board game based on the books?

Catsalive, thank you for taking #4 and 6.
Gail, I'd be interested in reading your review for the #40 Goosebumps book!
Anne, Catsalive grabbed #6 in Message 46. Maybe the Doctor Who book might match a different Goosebumps book. But #22 is all yours.
VampAmber, that's a great match for #17. I'll put your name next to it.

R. L. Stine's first Goosebumps book, Welcome to Dead House, was published July 1992, which makes the series 31 years old. More than 400 million Goosebumps books have been sold, making it the best-selling series of all time for several years.
Such an achievement deserves a reading challenge!
I would like to see if we, as a group, can read a book for each of the 62 books in the original Goosebump series.
This reading marathon begins Tuesday, October 24 at 12:01 am (your time) and ends Tuesday, October 31 at midnight (your time).
Rules:
* No page limit.
* Do not start reading your book before the marathon begins.
* The book you read must somehow connect to the Goosebump book.
It can be:
the same number in a series
a matching item on the cover, a matching word in the title,
a significant character in the Goosebumps book has the same name as a significant character in your book or your book's author,
or the Goosebumps book's blurb suggests a similar plot or scene that happens in your book. If you are uncertain, just ask.
Or you can just read the book itself :)
